Two protests blocked traffic in the center of Sofia tonight. The traditional protest demanding the resignation of the government and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev began in front of the National Library, where some 100 people celebrated Awakening Day. The Vazrazhdane political party procession in defense of the current Constitution started from the building of the former National Assembly.

After speeches by some of the protesters, including former Prime Minister Reneta Indjova, the discontent in front of the National Library headed to the Boris Garden with a torchlight procession, where flowers were laid on the monuments of several prominent figures in history. Bulgarian.

Afterwards, people headed to Nezavisimost Square, where protesters gathered for the 116th consecutive night, demanding the resignations of Boyko Borissov and Ivan Geshev. His dissatisfaction is titled “We are awake together.” The poems and speeches of the national awakeners, who won Bulgaria’s freedom from Turkish slavery, were read under the windows of power. The “Vazrazhdane” protest went by like a procession, moving with sound equipment on Blvd. “Tsar Osvoboditel”. He passed through the Ministry of Justice, the Judicial Chamber and finally reached the source of the presidency, where he merged with the other protesters.

The Vazrazhdane party believes that the current Constitution is good and does not need to be changed, and that it should not be violated by those in power.
