The fifth major protest took place today in Sofia. Despite the rain, dozens of people gathered in the Triangle of Power to express their discontent with those in power. Shortly after 8 pm, protesters marched in their traditional march towards the Eagle Bridge. Some of them broke up and gathered in front of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, where they read a prayer.
Then all the protesters went to the BNT building, where they tried to enter, but were stopped by the police. There was also tension. Dissatisfied people threw eggs at the television building.

Earlier, at the beginning of the protest, the dissidents marched towards the University of Sofia. The reason was the information that there was a group of students in the Rectory who wanted to join the protest, but the police did not allow it. However, there was no tension, and the two groups met on the yellow cobblestones and continued to Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd.

The police presence in the area has increased. Police thoroughly checked coming to protest. There were also checkpoints. Police on the front line wore vests with the words “anti-conflict”. The forces of order once again entered the tents of the mothers of “The system is killing us” to search for dangerous objects.
“There has never been anything wrong with us. We had put the paintings and the things that are carried in a box,” said Vera Ivanova of “The system is killing us.”
The organizers of the “Poison Trio” announced that this is the last major protest in this format. Tonight, four MEPs took part in the protest: three came in person and one joined online. His speeches were screened in the building of the old Party House.
“No matter how much they look down on the protest, it is a success,” said organizer Svetoslav Traikov.
The protesters’ demands remain the same: the resignation of the government and the chief prosecutor, as well as automatic voting.
