Countries with much better funded systems cannot cope with the growing number of infected people who need medical care, “said Dr. Daritkova.

“It is important to identify patients early, isolate them early. General practitioners are also at the forefront. They must decide when hospitalization is necessary. Each medical institution must organize its work well so that not only a hospital bed can be provided, but that medical care can also be provided ”, commented the president of the Parliamentary Health Commission.
When asked if we had lost control of the coronavirus, Daritkova said:
“At this stage, as long as everyone who needs hospital treatment receives it, I don’t think we have missed the situation. We have a good enough reaction. On the other hand, a mortality analysis must be carried out, but over time. That we all need to respond appropriately. The responsibility of physicians is clear, but the responsibility of society must also be clear. If we don’t follow the measures, the number of patients will continue to grow. “
According to her, there is chaos in the healthcare system, but only in certain places.
“The big problem is that some patients buy drugs that have been identified as a panacea for the coronavirus and start prophylactic treatment. This can only hurt them, “Daritkova added.
“There were very serious messages in the summer that it was just the flu, that the infection was being used to restrict the rights of citizens. This has led to an attitude in society that we are trying to change,” explained Dr. Daniela Daritkova.
According to her, although Europe has tightened measures, the number of infected is not decreasing. According to her, the total closure is not necessary, because you also have to think about people’s mental health.
