“The tragedy in Plovdiv cannot be a stigma for everyone who works in the system. I hope that the inspection will show who is responsible and that they will be punished.” Thus, the president of the Parliamentary Health Commission, Dr. Daniela Daritkova, commented on the case of the patients who died with COVID-19 in Plovdiv. Two men were left lying for hours on the stairs in front of the entrance to the “St. Jorge University Hospital.

AFTER PATIENT DEATH: Five Plovdiv Hospital Employees Sacked

According to her, the health system operates in overload mode. Daritkova expressed her sincere condolences to the relatives of the deceased patients.

“At the same time, thousands of doctors, nurses, paramedics, paramedics, drivers, laboratory technicians do their duty 24 hours a day and take care of Bulgarians. The coronavirus has caused a crisis that poses a challenge not only for our health system. Countries with much better funded systems cannot cope with the growing number of infected people who need medical care, “said Dr. Daritkova.

According to her, if everyone in the system takes responsibility, we can successfully deal with the pandemic.

“It is important to identify patients early, isolate them early. General practitioners are also at the forefront. They must decide when hospitalization is necessary. Each medical institution must organize its work well so that not only a hospital bed can be provided, but that medical care can also be provided ”, commented the president of the Parliamentary Health Commission.

The new cases of COVID-19 are 3983, the dead are 129

When asked if we had lost control of the coronavirus, Daritkova said:

“At this stage, as long as everyone who needs hospital treatment receives it, I don’t think we have missed the situation. We have a pretty good reaction. On the other hand, a mortality analysis must be carried out, but over time. We must all respond appropriately. The responsibility of physicians is clear, but the responsibility of society must also be clear. If we don’t follow the measures, the number of patients will continue to grow. “

According to her, there is chaos in the healthcare system, but only in certain places.

“The big problem is that some patients buy drugs that have been identified as a panacea for the coronavirus and start prophylactic treatment. This can only harm them, “Daritkova added.

“There were very serious messages in the summer that it was just the flu, that the infection was being used to restrict the rights of citizens. This has led to an attitude of society that we are trying to change,” explained Dr. Daniela Daritkova .

According to her, although Europe has tightened measures, the number of infected is not decreasing. According to her, the total closure is not necessary, because you also have to think about people’s mental health.

“All restaurants and shopping centers operate in strict compliance with the measures, low attendance and disinfection,” said the president of the Parliamentary Health Commission.

When asked what is happening in the National Assembly, he said the following:

“We managed to get ahead despite the systematic sabotage of the opposition, which suffers a rupture of conscience. During the state of emergency, when we closed the meetings, they insisted that we meet. Now they want the dissolution of the National Assembly,” concluded Daritkova.
