IN Sofia has received several signals for fallen branches and damaged construction fences, announced the press center of the municipality of Sofia.
In connection with the strong wind, the mayor of the city, Yordanka Fandakova, assigned emergency teams to conduct inspections and respond to signals.
Warm weather today, will it rain?
Sofia Inspection teams and cleaning companies will conduct on-site inspections and take cleaning measures, and Green System employees will monitor the city’s parks and gardens.
Six teams from the Directorate of Prevention and Emergency Aid of the Municipality of Sofia are on the ground and responding to the signals. Currently there are several for fallen branches and broken construction fences. During the night, crews from the Sofia Fire Department responded to five signs of fallen branches. At the moment, public transport runs everywhere on its usual routes.
The weather warms up at the end of the year
The Municipality of Sofia asks citizens to be careful and to secure loose objects on their terraces. Owners of advertising and information elements should check their billboards and equipment, and construction companies – fences and scaffolding of their sites. The wind is strongest in the southern districts.
