23 people with coronavirus have died in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours. This is displayed in the Unified Information Portal data at midnight.

This is the highest number of daily deaths since the infection entered Bulgaria.

The total death toll since then has exceeded 900.

The number of new confirmed cases in the country is also increasing: 587 with 4,320 AKP tests performed. Positive samples are 13.5%.

There are 1221 coronavirus patients in Bulgarian hospitals, and 65 of them are in intensive care units.

The total number of active cases is 8,099.

Regarding the number of infected waters, the capital with 173 cases, followed by Plovdiv with 56 and Blagoevgrad with 51.

A 35-year-old woman died of Covid-19 in Targovishte

Two people, medical staff from the Emergency Medical Care Center in Haskovo, were identified with COVID-19, announced by regional crisis staff.

During the last 24 hours, 16 new cases of coronavirus infection and one death have been registered in the Haskovo region.

Seven people were hospitalized and the rest were in outpatient treatment. The case of the 24th deceased in the district, in which a coronavirus infection was confirmed, is a 56-year-old woman from the municipality of Dimitrovgrad. She was diagnosed on October 7 and treated at an out-of-district medical center. The woman had diabetes and heart disease, and died Oct. 12, headquarters said.
