An 82-year-old man from Nedelino is the new victim of COVID-19 in the Smolyan region

Dr. Velin Karafeziev was born on November 26, 1962 in the city of Nedelino region. Smolyan. He graduated from the Higher Medical Institute of Plovdiv in 1988. He has a recognized specialty in “Surgery” since 1992. He worked as an intern at the Worker’s Hospital – Madan from 11.09.1988 to 08.14.1989. From 1989 to 1992 he was an intern at the Medical Academy. On 10/19/1992 he began to work as a surgeon at the First Surgery Clinic of the “St. George” University Hospital EAD – Plovdiv, where he remained until 05/31/2012.

From 2011 to 2018 he was a doctor of surgery in the Department of Surgery of the Pulmed University Hospital. From 2018 until recently, he was part of the team of the Department of One-Day and Mini-Invasive Surgery at UMHAT “St. George” EAD.
