The reason is the government’s refusal to increase their salaries by 30%
The union of employees of the Ministry of the Interior begins a new stage of protest. This afternoon they will set up a tent in front of the National Assembly building. In the same place they will put photos of their activities during the control of the COVID-19 pandemic from March until now.
Terziiski: Salaries in the Interior Ministry should be increased, but it’s a question of possibilities
The union asked its members to turn on the lights on company cars for a few minutes during their lunch break or at the beginning of their shift.
The reason for their protest is the government’s refusal to increase their salaries by 30%. The police categorically do not accept the option of contributing the money by returning the income criteria to receive child benefits.
“No party gets involved in protests with the intention of defending its demands 100%. They put us in impossible conditions. During the negotiations, there was no progress by the Ministry of the Interior, the Council of Ministers, and the National Assembly. For now, our insistence is the initial one. The severe provocation that took place offends us, “said SFSMVR Vice President Iliya Kuzmanov.
