Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic described Montenegro as a tourist destination where the coronavirus pandemic will soon not be a threat.

On the social network Twitter, the Prime Minister of the Balkan state wrote that Montenegro is on its way to becoming a coronavirus-free destination. He said the state would be ready to receive tourists in the coming weeks who should not be concerned about the coronavirus.

The Podgorica government recently indicated that it expects the tourist season to start on July 1. Experts have made suggestions on how to apply distance rules on beaches and hotels.

Montenegrin authorities are announcing the country as a “coronavirus-free” destination. Podgorica wants to attract more tourists to save the summer season. Several countries have begun granting measures to accommodate more tourists in the summer. According to official data in Montenegro, the number of people infected with the coronavirus is small: only 300 and the victims are 9.
