Tonight a tragedy of the magnitude of Hitrino’s was averted in Borovo municipality in Ruse. A train with 16 propane-butane tanks stops at the city station when the driver notices a gas leak.
Police and firefighters responded to his signal. The Borovo mayor evacuated the central part of the city. At that point, firefighters were able to locate the leak. At the risk of his life, Chief Inspector Svilen Rachev managed to close the tank crane.
