On the first business day, after the launch of the new section of the Sofia ring road between Mladost and Gorublyane, the expectations of light traffic were not justified and traffic jams re-formed in the morning rush hour, reported bTV.
The reason is that the three-lane road meets one lane at the Gorublyane traffic light. Nervous drivers were not lacking. The section lasts an average of 15 minutes.
The reconstructed section is 1.7 km long and is part of the repair of the 6-kilometer route between gk Mladost Highway and Trakia.
Traffic on the route begins with the temporary organization of traffic and road signs. In the next year work will continue with the placement of the last layer of wear asphalt and the execution of all the finishing works.
The road was opened earlier to ease winter traffic and increase safety.
