Protesters gathered at Orlov Most in the capital and set fire to masks in protest of new measures to wear protective gear outdoors, bTV reported.

Citizens blocked the Tsarigradsko Shosse crossing at 7:40 pm and threatened to take the waste from the burned masks to the Ministry of Health.

According to the organizers, wearing masks outdoors is an inappropriate and absurd measure that will not stop the spread of the coronavirus. People do not accept to be, with masks in the park and in the streets, and without masks in bars and discos.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister and the Mayor of Sofia announced zero tolerance for people who do not comply with the regulations. Mobile groups of mixed RHI teams and police will check us out.

In the capital, controls are tightened with more surprise inspections during the day and night in supermarkets, public transport and the subway.
