Chelsea managed an impressive 3-0 win over Burnley in a Premier League match on Matchday 7 and continued their rise.

The Blues played very hard, scoring 7 goals in their last two games, and also posted the fourth consecutive dry net in all tournaments.

Newcomer Hakim Ziesh scored a championship debut goal and added an assist. Kurt Zuma and Timo Werner also scored so that Frank Lampard’s men could now have 12 points, while Burnley was left with just 1.

There were plenty of surprises in the Chelsea squad, with Frank Lampard making three changes, with Tammy Abraham replacing Timo Werner at the top of the attack, and Mason Mount and Hakim Ziesch also started, with Aspilicueta and Giorgino giving way. For the hosts, Dale Stevens replaced the injured Johan Berg Gudmundson.

In the warm-up, however, Pulisic was injured, so Werner was still a starter for the Londoners. The first big opportunity, however, was for the hosts, after Barnes exited the ambush attempt and came out in a clear position, but his hype was extremely disappointing and failed. However, after he fired, Mandy took him down, but there was no problem with the VAR.

In the 16th minute, the Londoners attacked dangerously after Chillwell joined in another attack, but Brownhill stopped him with a major but risky intervention. Chelsea pressed and Abraham made Pope save his header.

In minute 26 the guests found. A good play ended with a deflection from Abraham to Hakim Ziesh, who opened his account in the Premier League with a shot of about 15-16 meters. Nick Pope could have done better, but he was caught on the spot.

The same minutes followed, although the initiative went to the Blues. Shortly before halftime, Werner got a good ball, but couldn’t get past Pope, and seemed to be in a fine ambush.

At the beginning of the second half, Mason Mount shot twice just for the visitors, but Pope was solid in both cases. Burnley responded with a shot from Barnes, but Mandy was there and didn’t intervene because the shot was inaccurate. After that, Tarkovsky did not find the goal, but the hosts improved significantly anyway.

In the 63rd minute, however, Chelsea landed another blow. Mount took a great corner and Zuma nailed the ball into the net with a powerful header. This was his third goal of the season.

In minute 70 it was all over. Burnley easily fumbled the ball, James took out Ziesch, who in turn passed Werner and the German made it 3-0 with a precise and decisive shot.

Giroud’s correctly disallowed goal was followed by an ambush, and Thiago Silva sent the ball into Pope’s hands from a corner kick. A new goal did not fall, and Burnley was left without an accurate shot, as the Londoners took a clear victory.
