Chaos due to the introduction of restrictions for retirees. Many of them did not know that now they are only allowed to buy in stores and pharmacies from 8 to 10 in the morning. And they will not be allowed at other times. Therefore, it has also been difficult for many outlets to fulfill the new order, and there are some that have not even opened in this time zone.

Today new measures against COVID-19 come into force

With tension and misunderstandings, the first day began in which people 65 and over have the right to buy in stores and pharmacies between 8 and 10 in the morning. Lines formed in front of many of the hypermarkets. Another problem was the fact that a large number of adults could not leave the stores at exactly 10 o’clock.

The order went out last night. And many people did not realize that before 10 o’clock they would not be allowed into the store if they were not over 65 years old. There were isolated cases of people creating their own streamlined organization to comply with the measures.

Finally, in front of a hypermarket in the capital’s Slatina district, a crowd formed waiting for him to turn 10. At the same time, there was tension in the store.

“There is a person who stops them to enter after 10 in the morning, and young people can enter, there are restrictive posters, everything is mentioned at the entrance,” explained Antoaneta Petrova, a store employee.

People over 65 years of age will not be allowed into the stores after 10 o’clock.

There were misunderstandings in front of the pharmacies. Another problem for adults was the fact that their medications are often not delivered within 10 hours. Pharmacists find other problems in the measure.

“It will probably drive a crowd of people in this range between 8 and 10 o’clock. You know that older people are more frequent users of pharmaceutical services and I am not convinced that colleagues can see that many people in 2 hours ”Said the secretary general of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union, Dimitar Marinov.

There are also many pharmacies that open long after 8 o’clock. Health authorities have said they are willing to change the measure if it doesn’t work.

“We also hope to have difficulties for the people of the small settlements. There is a settlement where they make bread at 10.30 for all the people. Then this will be resolved even more and how do we proceed. , it will be expanded ”, the Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, was categorical.

Due to the upcoming cold weather, the two hour window is ready to move between 2 PM and 4 PM.
