Svetoslav Petkov-The lioness
The car thief Svetoslav Petkov-la Leona was arrested this morning at his home in the Manastirski Livadi district of Sofia. His First Lieutenant Georgi Vodenicharov-Kiko was also arrested.
The two were arrested around 6 in the morning this morning during an operation by the Ministry of the Interior and the Special Prosecutor’s Office. Along with them, 5 more people were arrested. However, Asen Kolev-Hastara managed to escape from police control. That is why it is wanted.
Police are searching the houses of the detainees, as well as their cars and garages.
Petkov and Kiko have several arrests, the latest in 2018. They were later caught robbing a jeep. Kiko was caught behind the wheel, but the Lioness escaped and surrendered a month later.
A week ago, another famous car thief was arrested: Ivan Yaninski-Schumacher.
“In the territory of Sofia, actions are being carried out to investigate the pre-trial proceedings to neutralize an organized criminal group created for the purpose of illegally seizing cars and their parts,” said the press center of the state prosecutor’s office.
“The actions of the investigation are carried out by agents of the SDVR under the direction and supervision of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office and continue at the moment. The supervising prosecutors will make an assessment in the coming days on whether to provide more information under article 198 of the investigation ”, added the Prosecutor’s Office.
