Apply online for the status of residence, which is free, with a British document
Young Bulgarians are currently traveling to the UK in order to get cheaper tuition fees next year at English universities, compatriots revealed.
They are applying for temporary residency status, which entitles them to continue entering the country visa-free for the next 5 years, to pay lower tuition fees, and to be able to obtain advantageous student loans like their English counterparts. Something that will become impossible for European citizens in January, after the UK finally leaves the EU.
However, training intermediaries at English universities and immigration lawyers have found a legal way to help Bulgarians who want to start studying at an English university next autumn under the current favorable conditions. They were advised to come to the UK a few days before the end of the year and apply online for a free status of residence.
This can be done through an airline ticket, an online coronavirus quarantine declaration, a receipt for the purchase of a British phone number, and any other document in English containing your name and date.
Also request a stamp in the passport to the border authorities to enter the country.
Meanwhile, it has become clear that negotiations on a trade deal between Britain and the EU could continue until the end of the year, but should allow at least a day or two for the British and European parliaments to vote on the deal.
The negotiating teams said they had made little progress, but that there were still many differences. If there is no agreement, as of January trade between the island and the European Union will be carried out through additional customs duties, which will cause a rise in prices of a series of goods.
