“First of all, I want to say that I do not blame anyone, but it seems to me that in Bulgaria a lot of valuable time was lost, which could be used to prepare hospitals and doctors. It was known that there would be a new wave in the autumn and that in Bulgaria, the Biggest problem is the staff.
Sixth-year medical students may have already received training on how to care for Kovid-19 patients and how to protect themselves from the virus by undressing and dressing, which is very important. There might already be lists of which of them would go to which hospital if there were not enough staff.
Doctors who do not have the required specialty and who now say that they do not want to enter the wards could also be trained because they do not know how to treat the sick. A timeline could also be set on who would replace whom in case a doctor or nurse became infected. These are really simple plans, which we prepared with us in March and they help a lot. And the ambulance does not need 50 minutes to disinfect ambulances after driving a coronavirus patient. An ultraviolet lamp completes the job in 15 minutes.
In my opinion, there is chaos in Bulgaria at the moment, which should not have happened. “
“For Bulgaria this is the first wave”
This is what a Bulgarian doctor tells us, who requested anonymity, who works in Philadelphia. Dr. B. specializes in pediatric cardiology, internal medicine, and palliative medicine. In his opinion, the reason for so many infected doctors lies mainly in the fatigue of the medical staff.
Dr. B. gave the example of a colleague in the United States who became infected after using a patient with other complaints who was wearing only a surgical mask and not a high-protection mask. “Obviously the patient also had a coronavirus, because my colleague has not been infected anywhere else. This is because we are all very tired and we are losing our guard. Also, more people are infected now than in March, increasing the risk of doctors.

The doctor also described the situation in the United States: “People who believed in Trump and did not wear masks suffered greatly. Just one example: Trump held a pre-election rally in Florida among many retirees who were without masks, and now there is a terrible epidemic. .
If we look at who Trump’s supporters are in general, we will find that his supporters are mostly people from the deep countryside, who live long distances from each other on farms, and their work is primarily outdoors. And as soon as they find out that someone is sick somewhere, they immediately isolate themselves completely. These places have nothing to do with big cities, where the subway, the streets, the shops are full.
The other Trump supporters are wealthy people with large estates who live far from the rest anyway.
“There are no Trump supporters among the doctors”
As for the doctors in the country: I personally do not know a single doctor who treats patients with Kovid-19 and supports Trump or his attitude towards the pandemic. I am not referring to the specialists who consult without examinations, I am not referring to the doctors of the insurance and pharmaceutical companies. I mean doctors who come into direct contact with patients, who wear a mask and helmet for 7-8 hours. I mean doctors who are exposed to this physical and emotional stress on a daily basis. There are no Trump supporters among them.
I don’t want to politicize, but the truth is that Donald Trump doesn’t care what happens to the people around him. His world is Donald Trump, and that’s it. See how he changes advisers: one day he praises them and then calls them “idiots”, as he called his coronavirus adviser.
A radiologist is still advising him on the pandemic. How is it possible? Obviously, only your personal interests are important to Trump. If your interests match those of the state, great. However, very often they do not match. I hope light in the tunnel, “says Dr. B.
