A Bulgarian is among the 19 most wanted fugitives in Europe who are suspected or convicted of sex crimes. His photos are published on the eumostwanted.eu website.
Among the photos is that of Plamen Mitrev, 63, and according to the information published on the website, he was convicted of four rapes, hidden from justice since 2017, BNT reported.
To draw attention to sex offenders, Europol has launched a campaign in 19 European countries to seek help in detecting dangerous sex offenders.
Law enforcement agencies from Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom have joined to this online call.
For four weeks, law enforcement agencies will spread the photos of the wanted people online and on social media.
Anyone who recognizes anyone can submit information fairly anonymously via the eumostwanted.eu website and it will be shared directly with national investigators looking for the fugitive.
