The Bulgarian soccer team achieved their first victory for the 2020 calendar year. In November alone, we waited for Georgi Dermendzhiev’s team to bring us at least some positive emotions, beating Gibraltar in a control match with 3: 0. Tricolors were the true masters of the pitch and left no chance for 195th place in the FIFA rankings.
The hosts finished their work before the break, when all goals fell in the net from Goldwin, Tsvetkov, Yomov and Iliev.

Less than a quarter of an hour had passed since the start of the control, when the result was already 2: 0 for Bulgaria. Strahil Popov made one of his usual flank inclusions, then merged with Yomov. The CSKA wing only needed one touch to break free from the rival defender and with a technical shot in the far corner left Goldwyn no chance.
The classic could easily have been done in the 17th minute. The Gibraltar national goalkeeper did not intervene well when Popov crossed and Galin Ivanov had a chance to aim at the empty goal. To his bad luck, the ball flew just over the top post.

Martin Lukov moved slightly in the 42nd minute when a cross from a free-kick caused tension in our penalty area. Strahil Popov deftly blocked the guest attacker with his body and after the initial uncertainty, Loko’s guard (Pd) duly intervened.

Another goal from Bulgaria was recorded seconds before the break signal. Georgi Yomov crossed smoothly from a corner, Dimitar Iliev fought for a position in the opponent’s court and nodded his head towards the lower right corner of the defenseless Goldwyn.
The second half did not in any way deprive the intensity of the Bulgarian attacks. In the 48th minute Dimitar Iliev technically directed from the edge of the area, but his shot was relatively weak and easy to save.
The appearance of the Levski wing – Zdravko Dimitrov visibly moved the left zone of our attack. In the 85th minute he unscrewed a rival defender, then tried to cross Kraev. The striker stayed low on the ball, but an opportunity was opened for a solid shot off Viktor Popov. His performance was inaccurate, but it could have turned into a pass for Svetoslav Kovachev, who was delayed with his reaction.
At the end of the meeting, it was unknown why he was nervous and the guests were to blame. Cascario’s reserve was at the epicenter of the events after he committed a serious violation against Kovachev, which angered even a kind person like coach Dermendzhiev.
