The BSP deputies attacked Cornelia Ninova for organizing the party’s internal elections. This happened at a press conference in parliament, which was attended by MPs Valeri Zhablyanov and Krassimir Yankov, as well as Georgi Todorov. All three are candidates in the campaign for the BSP leader, reported .flagman.bg.
A few days ago, they distributed an open letter accusing the Central Electoral Commission (CICC) of the BSP of working in a biased way, for the re-election of Cornelia Ninova as leader. The internal vote will take place on September 12.
Yesterday the CICC rejected the accusations. Today, however, Zhablyanov, Yankov and Todorov held a press conference in parliament, in which they continued to insist on urgent action, as the election in the BSP could be compromised.
“We demand that a member and the secretary of the commission be removed from the Central Commission for the Election of the BSP, who openly agitate and side with one of the candidates. We define the situation as scandalous, because it means that the Central Election Commission state takes a position on which party should win the elections. You understand the absurdity of the picture. It is not possible for Ms Ninova to claim the fairness of the elections within the state and society and hold an election in her own party for those media. For us, the situation is absurd, “Valeri Zhablyanov said.
The accusations are against Vyara Emilova and Dimitar Danchev, who agitated in favor of Cornelia Ninova.
Chavdar Georgiev resigned as a member of the CICC in protest, it was clear from Valeri Zhablyanov’s statement.
He, Yankov and Todorov insist on the urgent convocation of the National Council (NA) of the BSP (the so-called plenary session). According to them, the National Assembly should replace the committed members of the CICC.
All three also want the possibility of voting with mobile polling stations to be eliminated, as they could not guarantee that there would be no manipulation. Another claim is to publish the voter lists with the BSP members who will have the right to vote.
According to Valeri Zhablyanov, there are signs of “dark” funding in the competition.
Krassimir Yankov, for his part, explained that an urgent convocation of the BSP National Assembly was needed to make the necessary decisions. Otherwise, there was a danger that the BSP elections would be tarnished and appealed.
We remind you that there are five candidates for president of the BSP: Cornelia Ninova, Kiril Dobrev, Krassimir Yankov, Valeri Zhablyanov and Georgi Todorov.
