Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Defense Minister Krassimir Karakachanov to go to Parliament and explain yesterday’s talks with the American “Lockheed Martin” for the purchase of eight more F-16s without this being agreed with the National Assembly. This was insisted by the leader of the BSP, Cornelia Ninova, from the parliamentary platform.
Surprisingly yesterday we learned from the media about a meeting between the Prime Minister and Lockheed Martin, about the talks about the purchase of eight new F-16s. Furthermore, the announcement makes clear that the Defense Ministry has already issued letters of request to explore the possibility of purchasing three new radars and other high-tech equipment. This information raises many questions, to which today we want to invite the Minister and the Prime Minister and answer: what parameters of the agreement are in question, when and within what time frame, the budget for 2020 provides these funds. Ninova asks if these agreements contemplate the five billion levs that the prime minister withdrew? He insisted that Borissov had already indebted the State for more than 30,000 million BGN, however, the truth is clear from an INE report, which stated that economic indicators, imports and exports were falling, which meant impoverishment . However, the problem would not be solved with the additional 50 BGN for pensioners, but with the recalculation of pensions, Ninova was categorical.
This issue should be discussed here in the National Assembly. Please call them, Ninova said.
However, Karayancheva explained that the proposal that Borisov and Karakachanov come to parliament would be voted on when she put it forward in writing.
