With a goal in the 92nd minute, Southampton escalated Chelsea in a 3: 3 draw in a match on matchday five of the English Premier League.

Timo Werner’s fifteen-minute show at Stamford Bridge Stadium gave the Blues a two-goal lead before the end of half an hour of play, and another goal from the German was disallowed by an ambush.

The Saints didn’t flinch and hit late in the first and early in the second hour, when Danny Ings and Che Adams signed. Their joy was short-lived, however, as Chelsea quickly regained the lead when Werner helped Kai Haverz for his first goal in the English elite.

In the 92nd minute, the “Saints” showered the hosts with an ice shower as Yannick Westergaard deflected the ball as Theo Walcott shot into the net behind Kepa Arisabalaga. Thus, Chelsea is sixth in the table with 8 points, while Southampton is tenth with seven points.

The hosts got off to a strong start as expected and in the third minute they had two chances in three minutes, but guest goalkeeper McCarthy reflected back-to-back shots from Chillwell and Kai Haverts.

Timo Werner’s header was annulled by an ambush, but shortly before the end of a quarter of an hour of play, the German took the door of the “saints”. He cunningly faked an opponent’s footballer, missed the ball and then slalomed past five to slide the ball into the lower left corner.

Once again, Werner demonstrated his class before half an hour of play. He received a ball from Jorgeninho, passed Bednarek, kicked the goalkeeper and headed at point-blank range.

Then N’Golo Cante shot dangerously with his head, but the goalkeeper intervened brilliantly, and then Werner did so strongly but very imprecisely.

Shortly before the break, Haverz’s delay in the Chelsea half prompted his punishment. Adam took advantage, letting Danny Ings pass into the hall, who pretended to Kepa Arisabalaga and returned the intrigue.

Immediately after the break, Ralph Hazenhuttle’s lads showed a desire for more than an honorable defeat, pushing their opponent away. Ings fired incorrectly, then Christensen intervened. In the 57th minute, however, a series of errors by Zuma and Kepa brought Chelsea down, and Che Adams sent the ball into the net with a cannon shot.

Southampton’s joy did not last long, because before the end of the match Kai Haverts scored his first goal in the Premier League, thanks to Pulisic and Werner assisted. Timo showed that he is a player of the whole team and did not look for a hat-trick from a convenient position for him, but played for his compatriot.

Southampton kept looking for its opportunity. Adams ‘shot went through the left post, and ten minutes before the end of regulation time, Danny Ings’ cannonball was saved by Kepa, who was in good position.

In the 92nd minute, Southampton cut Chelsea with a late goal. Theo Walcott hit the edge of the area and Yannick Westergaard deflected his head, hitting the London keeper.
