The prosecution provided information in relation to the investigation and seizure of objects from the “Nove Holding” building.

A spokeswoman for the chief prosecutor, Siika Mileva, said that on October 1 the investigation of the objects that have the qualities of cultural and historical heritage of the building on Moskovska Street was completed.

He added that access to the investigative bodies was provided by employees of the Trakia Foundation. “The objects found with the marks of cultural and historical heritage are 6778 pieces,” he added. All the actions of the investigation were carried out in strict compliance with the procedural rules, he added. “The items have been handed over to the Ministry of Culture, the National Museum of History and the National Academy of Arts. They are guarded by officials from the Ministry of the Interior,” said Chief Prosecutor Siika Mileva’s spokeswoman.

“The Bozhkov collection will be evaluated by international experts. It will depend on their conclusion on Bozhkov’s antiquities whether his illegal collection will be declared public property,” he added.

According to her, 212 of the articles found were registered. “The prosecution believes that they were illegally acquired by treasure hunters throughout the country. The boxes in which they were kept were found with notes from different geographical areas of the country.”
