Bozhkov mocked Borisov, the parody of state football showed

Vasil Bozhkov’s gesture is a parody of football-state and state-football relations. He mocked the Prime Minister. Bozhkov seems to be shitting: “Come on, since you want to solve everything, now also solve this question.” This was told to Frog News by former MP GERB Metodi Andreev. This is what he explained the most:

Mr. Andreev, yesterday it became clear that Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov are in opposite positions regarding the proposal to reduce VAT for hoteliers and restaurateurs. Is it possible that there is something else behind this difference between the two?

Is it now Prime Minister Boyko Borissov who wants to reduce VAT for hoteliers and restaurateurs? People have wanted this for 10 years. Why haven’t you done it so far ?! Very clear why. In my opinion, this decision of the Prime Minister is related to the statements of Vasil Bozhkov and the revelations that he saw Vladislav Goranov. The following is currently at stake: the Prime Minister comes out and says that if Vladislav Goranov does not agree to the VAT reduction, he can leave. Why are your words not related to Bozhkov’s media appearance? Can we think that Bozhkov has serious evidence of violations by high government officials, related to commissions, illegal lobbying, even corruption, as well as conflicts of interest and abuse of power? What if this applies to the Minister of Finance? If this turns out to be true and backed by evidence, not only should the finance minister resign, but the entire government should fall.

Do you see another scenario?

Yes, because it could be said that the Minister of Finance will resign due to a disagreement with the Prime Minister’s desire to reduce VAT for a certain range of companies. Why not think in this direction? Otherwise, it was correct to ask why the VAT measure was not implemented at the beginning of the “state of emergency”. People not only offer a VAT reduction for the entertainment business. They insist that this has happened with basic foods, medicines and books. Then the circle of those who will benefit will be much larger. Everything that unfolds before our eyes can be the context to save the government from the fall.

Were you surprised by Bozhkov’s decision to turn over the shares of FC Levski to the Prime Minister?

I’m not a fan, I don’t watch soccer, but I have friends who are very interested in this sport. This morning I was told that this was not a precedent. Such was the case when Michael Chorney was expelled. Later, the shares of FC Levski were handed over to the then Minister of the Interior, Georgi Petkanov. Then he abandons them. So Borissov, having been chief secretary of the Interior Ministry, probably knows what to do with the actions. Here Vasil Bozhkov’s gesture is more important.

And what do you think is the message of this gesture?

Without offending football friends, the results of this sport in our country do not correspond to the attention given by the first head of state and party. If we have strong football and it brings glory to Bulgaria, I have nothing against paying so much attention to it. We are a small country and anything you can advertise to us must be brought to the attention of the highest heads of state. With us, however, this is not the case. It is publicly known that football, for the most part, benefits from behind-the-scenes forces and serves financial interests, including money laundering. However, so much attention is paid to it that it is like a health issue. It is abnormal for me that the executive interferes in the work of private clubs. And Vasil Bozhkov’s gesture is a parody of soccer-state and state-soccer relations. He mocked the Prime Minister. Bozhkov seems to be shitting: “Come on, since you want to solve everything, now also solve this question.”

I want to emphasize that I am in no way one of those who defend Vasil Bozhkov. On the contrary, I think the state is behind in its reaction to such entrepreneurs. But let’s not forget the other fact: why now and what is the reason for Bozhkov being beaten? This is the fundamental question. Either because the state wants to do justice or because other factors have emerged that have decided to occupy certain niches in which until now they have not been able to impose their hands.
