About 30,000 vaccinations have been carried out in the last three days in the country, and the interest of citizens to get vaccinated is very high. Vaccination offices are functioning in all areas and, as of today, general practitioners are also beginning to vaccinate.

An organization is being created so that mobile teams can travel to remote settlements, where anyone can also be vaccinated. This was reported by Health Minister Kostadin Angelov during the working meeting, which Prime Minister Boyko Borissov convened with representatives of the National Operational Headquarters, the vaccination headquarters and the ministers.

Minister Angelov also pointed out that together with the Interior Ministry a logistical support organization is being created, so that vaccines can easily and quickly reach remote settlements and citizens can be vaccinated.

“You organize teams in the most remote and small settlements. Everyone who is willing to get vaccinated. There should be no difference between large, small and remote settlements,” Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said.

Prime Minister Borissov thanked all doctors and medical teams, adding that mass vaccination would not allow the wave of covid to escalate further.

The Prime Minister recalled that all vaccines administered in Bulgaria have been approved by the European Medicines Agency.

“All vaccines have been agreed by the European Commission, by the best specialists in Europe. Vaccines have passed the test where there are no compromises. Whatever vaccine is given, it is good, “said the Prime Minister.

The vice chairman of the board of directors of the Bulgarian Medical Union, Nikolay Branzalov, noted that GPs are ready to join the vaccination process. “Logistics have been made for the smaller settlements, where colleagues may have difficulties, so that the vaccination process, of mass vaccination, can start with us,” Branzalov said.

The president of NOCHE and director of the Military Medical Academy, Ventsislav Mutafchiiski, and the director of Pirogov, Asen Baltov, reported on the vaccination process in the medical establishments they administer. Prof. Mutafchiiski also reports that a decrease in mortality from COVID-19 has been reported. There is also an increase in the number of new hospitalized, which, however, does not exceed the capacity of the hospitals.

The executive director of the Executive Agency for Medicines, Bogdan Kirilov, reports that today a delivery of 25,740 doses of the Pfizer vaccine was received. “We expect 12,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine on February 25, as well as quantities of the Oxford vaccine by the end of the week, and we will receive confirmation of the exact date and exact quantities.”

All doses available in the country are applied without waiting, “added Kirilov. He also pointed out that since the beginning of the vaccination campaign a very low incidence of adverse reactions has been observed, which fully confirms the safety profile established in the clinical trials.
