The Serbian state agency Tanjug announced tonight that on August 31 in the Slovenian resort of Bled there will be a meeting between President Alexander Vucic and the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Hungary, Boyko Borissov and Viktor Orban, reports BGNES.

At the moment, the Sofia Council of Ministers cannot confirm Prime Minister Borissov’s participation in the forum, the Bulgarian agency notes.

The traditional strategic forum will be held in Bled, and this year the main theme will be “Europe after Brexit and COVID-19”. IOC President Thomas Bach and IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva will participate via video conference.

Participants will also include Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis, as well as Prime Ministers of Croatia and Slovenia, Andrej Plenkovic and Janez Jansa.

This year’s forum will only last one day, not two days as usual, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Organizers say the participants will discuss EU-NATO cooperation, relations with Russia and China and other global issues.

Orban, Borissov and Vucic may have another common theme: the Balkan Stream.
