“Borissov is buying planes so that the Americans can leave him in power for a few more months. He is using our money to buy comfort. But the Bulgarians are not stupid and that is why they are on the streets.” This was stated to BNT by deputy BSP Rumen Gechev. According to him, the government has been negotiating the purchase of 8 new F-16s since the beginning of the year. He said the government wants to spend those billions because it loves itself and wants to stay in power.

The deputy said the government is cutting budget expenditures much faster than reducing budget revenues. In other words, the government reported “bloody budget surpluses.” “GERB is doing the exact opposite of what all European countries are doing: cutting budget spending and reporting surpluses. Thousands of companies have gone bankrupt, families are exhausted and children cannot go to school, no they have money to dress, “he said.

Gechev pointed out that the change in taxes must be done very carefully and in a balanced way. He noted that the Reds have already submitted to parliament several times proposals for personal income tax. In this way, the poorest will be exempted from taxes, and gradual and progressive taxation will be introduced, which will maintain the current tax burden on the middle class and gradually increase taxes on the richest.

According to the socialist, the BSP has a real chance of winning the next parliamentary elections. According to him, there is no place in politics for pessimists and desperate people, so the BSP had to mobilize and do everything possible to prepare a detailed program to convince voters to support them.

When a party member wishes to remain in it only if he is in a leadership position, it means that his motivation is different from the main goals of the party. So what happened is good for the BSP. Thus, the red deputy commented on the departure of the six deputies from the BSP General Assembly.

He was adamant that the BSP is a democratic party. According to him, in the statements of the six who left the party there are no proposals or new ideas. According to Gechev, they did not show that they did not agree with the main ideas of the party or with the preparations for the elections, but expressed personal interests. “They want to maintain the position of feudal lords and be list leaders all their lives, which is not acceptable. That is why the party members punished them,” he said.
