Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has personally delivered investor certificates issued by the Ministry of Economy. Today he presented one to the non-ferrous metals plant near Plovdiv for an investment of BGN 260 million in new production. Certificates are generally awarded at ceremonies at the Ministry of the Economy.
Today Borisov toured the site of the plant with his car, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Lachezar Borisov and one of the heads of the KCM 2000 Group. Everything was broadcast live on the Prime Minister’s Facebook profile and the certificate itself was delivered to one of the factory buildings.
The economy minister promised the state to finance the construction of one of the main accesses to the production facilities. “We are grateful that we have such an environmentally friendly plant in Bulgaria at the moment. In a time of crisis, 24 certificates for investors are waiting to be delivered and 14 are in the industrial sector,” said the Minister of Economy.
Explaining that “COVID-19 wants calm and optimism”, Boyko Borissov took out several sheets from which to read what Eurostat says about the state of industrial production in the EU. “Industrial production in the eurozone marked a surprising decline in September, while within the EU it remained at the August level, which is a sign of weak completion and a record quarter for the European economy, Eurostat data show,” said the prime minister.

A look at the Eurostat report cited by Borisov shows that in five countries industrial production is growing at a higher monthly rate than in Bulgaria. However, annual data shows that there are only two countries where industrial production is growing and Bulgaria is not among them. We are talking about Poland and Portugal. In Bulgaria, in September, industrial production contracted just under 3%.

During the tour of the plant, Borisov noted that he was enjoying a third fourth negative test for COVID-19 after suffering from a coronavirus. “It’s great that they got through COVID,” he told his hosts, who had also been cured of the new virus. Borissov did not fail to point out that doctors return 1,000 people a day to work.
Traditionally, the Prime Minister exaggerates a bit, since in the last 24 hours the number of people cured has been 870, and since Monday they have been 675, 875, 516 and 915, respectively. is over, whether they have been ill or not and whether they have a negative PCR test.
Since yesterday, Borissov has reiterated that every healed person must return to work to keep the economy going, quoting almost verbatim in his explanations one of the slogans used by the fascists in their concentration camps: “Work makes you free.”

Shortly after his visit to KCM, Borisov also visited one of the Plovdiv hospitals, where coronavirus patients are housed. He gave the order to have a medical institution in Plovdiv until tonight, in which only COVID-19 patients are treated. Borisov ordered the doctors to prescribe everyone who felt well.
“Let him go. Two or three days in the hospital, the 9th, the 10th, the 11th. Hey, strong as a rock. Instead of working, you keep him here,” he told one of the patients. The “Pod tepeto” website recognized the patient as Mayor Zdravko Dimitrov, who was housed at the medical institution earlier this month for complications with an established coronavirus. Borissov received a response to his orders: “We follow protocol.”
“Not the psyche anymore. Panic is the greatest danger. It is difficult but it is over. I had it in our country, many problems, but in us,” he said about the coronavirus infection. Borissov ordered the doctors to explain that there was no shortage of drugs, but that there was a reserve.
