The reader’s imagination often turns out to be poor when it comes to interpreting the messages of the government, parties, state institutions, private associations or public relations. Dnevnik’s “Overdose” column began six years ago with the compilation of the absurdity of the messages during the 2014 election campaign, but Bulgarian politics continues to provide new stories.
As the elections approach, the pre-election series becomes more dynamic, and the thin red line in it is the “bellies” and the “fat people”, as Boyko Borissov called his opponents yesterday.
Today he backed off, justifying himself by joking “with Nankov and Krasi”, without clarifying who Krasi was, but the leadership of “Yes, Bulgaria” rejected the possibility that it was the Minister of War Krassimir Karakachanov and recognized the Minister of Sports Krasen Kralev, who accompanied to the prime minister before yesterday’s elections.
Let’s follow the plot:
After the Council of Ministers meeting, in which the government distributed another 15 million BGN before the elections, to the municipalities and the Scientific Research Fund, the Prime Minister in jeans and an official jacket. Boyko Borissov “landed” on levels, somewhere in Bulgaria, in the company of men, presented by the Minister of Agriculture Desislava Taneva as the largest cereal producers in the country. “What is the state doing for grain producers?” Borissov told Taneva. She suggested they “count each other.”
While smirking awkwardly, the grain producers made speeches about the GERB government, which, however, were not heard due to poor sound quality. During this time, people in a car passing by on the road greeted those gathered, and Borisov concluded that the Roma were happy because he had given them bread and work. Then the discriminatory comment that “they no longer stole” was allowed. “There is a small problem that they trade three times a day. But they no longer steal,” said the grain producer. “Here it is! 50 thousand children”, Borisov began his mantra for Roma children who returned to school, but he obviously felt it and explained: “We do not divide the children …” Then he returned the conversation to the point. : “How much do we subsidize agriculture? After all, let’s show off a bit too …”
Its grain producers complained that those in the industry they called “the most” were not representative. Here Borisov cleverly found a way to get involved with the “fat people”: “We need to debate. With more dialogue and rules … Do you know now what things, what lies … Monstrous lies … Yesterday I made fun of Krasi, Nankov, who were so mischievous that they recognized others. I can’t joke anymore. “
Indeed, a day earlier in Byala and Pleven, Borisov had clearly called his political opponents “fat” and “pot-bellied.”
Hristo Ivanov and Ivaylo Mirchev, candidates from “democratic Bulgaria”, who yesterday recognized themselves in Borissov’s qualifications, joined today from the sidewalk in front of the Council of Ministers to answer him again.
Today Borisov has started to cover up the ‘fat people’, which were Nankov and Kralev. But this is not a conversation about bellies“said Hristo Ivanov, noting that” underneath this vulgarity is probably the only opportunity to start a conversation with the GERB leader, because he hid in his jeep. “
“This aging glarus feels politically that it is losing ground, that it is wasting time. That there is no place in this age. It is literally a matter of its political survival. It is gradually becoming a fossil from the 1990s. This is its nervousness, “Ivanov added and after realizing that Borisov was watching his live broadcast, he added:” The dinosaur GERB and you no longer have a place here, you are interfering. Free the country from yourself to realize its potential! “
“We invited Tomislav to the Sofia Technology Park. There is a meadow there, where when there is a GERB meeting, people hit” – with these words Ivaylo Mirchev invited Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev on Friday in the meadow of the Sofia Technology Park in a convenient place for him time to talk about e-government, digitization and robotics, after spending BGN 2 billion on e-government. Mirchev and Ivanov also invited Borisov to go if he wished, but doubted that the meeting with the ruling party would take place.
“Borissov, the conversation is not about how fat you are. The conversation is about how this country can get rid of you, because you are a fossil from the 90s, and you take the path of modernization.” Hristo Ivanov finalized his inclusion.
This was followed by a broadcast of the Prime Minister’s visit to a private buffalo farm, where the talkative host announced: “This Minister of Agriculture must be eternal. Don’t listen to them! They will shrink, they will envy you! you won’t quit, people like you. We hope you get it for many years. What you have given, no one else has given! I will not forget you for life. If it weren’t for you, there would be no buffalo in Bulgaria! “
In fact, all the time it was about subsidies for animal husbandry, money that is not “given” by Borissov, but by the taxpayers of the European Union, including the Bulgarians.
The interlocutor hardly gave the floor to the Prime Minister and remembers how she was a communist and party secretary. Borissov tried to say that “the children of the Communists became the first democrats”, but failed to develop his idea. In the end, however, he was joined with ambiguities about the opposition: “Because they have nothing to show, because they are weak, they just scream that it is not GERB. In the end, someone was getting old. Compared to President Biden, I am a pioneer. With such opposition, it is easy.”
Then it appeared in the construction of the gas connection with Greece, which slowed down significantly, unlike the continuation of “Turkish Stream”, which costs a total of BGN 3,540 million, according to the calculations of “Capital” and was inaugurated on 1 from January.
The expected revenue of “Turkish Stream” in the first two years after its launch will be approximately 156 million levs per year, and in the next 18 years, 362 million. Thus, in a total of 20 years, a little more than BGN 6.81 billion could be raised from transit fees, a negligible amount compared to the revenue promised by GERB.
All the most important for the next elections – in the special section of “Dnevnik”.
