The cabinet voted for more than 2.1 million retirees to receive a supplement to their pensions for the month of October. The additional amount will be paid to all pensioners, regardless of the amount of their pensions.
For the payment of the supplements for the month of October, the government will allocate an additional 105,962,800 BGN from the state budget for social security. The funds are provided at the expense of the restructuring of expenditures and / or transfers from the central budget for 2020.
The payment of the BGN 50 supplement to October pensions is the third step to support pensioners, envisaged in the government’s new package of socio-economic measures.
