The prosecution informed them that the supervising prosecutor in this case has carried out a series of actions to verify the declared circumstances and clarify the reality.
Explanations were taken from the people indicated on the sign, including the Prime Minister, tax audits and inspections from the National Revenue Agency were assigned.
Some of the results from the various competent Bulgarian institutions were still awaited.
In relation to the inspection, there was a need to request information from the judicial authorities in Spain, so the order of the supervising prosecutor of March 4 instructed the Directorate of International Operational Cooperation of the Ministry of the Interior to request information from the investigating authorities Spanish. the data published in the article in the newspaper El Periódico.

The information requested was provided to the competent authorities in Spain by letter dated July 22 from the prosecutor supervising the case to the Special Prosecutor’s Office.
Despite the contact details provided and the long time that has elapsed, the judiciary in Spain has not yet contacted the Bulgarian institutions.
“The investigation of the case has not finished, and in this sense it is necessary to wait for the results of the audits assigned to natural and legal persons, as well as the information requested by the competent authorities in Spain,” our Office of the Prosecutor told MEPs.
