The Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio, Andon Baltakov, presented this morning a letter to the Council of Electronic Media, in which he informed the president of the supervisory body Betina Joteva that he would like the contract with which he assumed the management of BNR to be terminated in advance, as of November 1, BNR reported.

“I am extremely outraged by the lack of managerial will for a change in Bulgarian legislation, which would ensure that Bulgarian National Radio is independent and completely free from political interference,” Baltakov told BNR.

My opinion as Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio is being manipulated and falsified, Andon Baltakov said, referring to the bill to amend and supplement the Radio and Television Law.

The Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio stated that the presentation of the Minister of Culture Boil Banov, with whose report the bill was presented for public discussion, was manipulative and incorrect.

The bill, which was proposed to the public for discussion, is not the bill in which a working group of BNR, BNT, CEM, various ministries and media experts have invested hundreds of hours and knowledge, Andon Baltakov it is categorical.
