The band is now releasing an interesting new reading of one of their oldest songs: “Blackened”. Here, the sound cables and treble sound are replaced by a much softer and more rock-oriented sound, and the track cannot be described in any way as a thrash.

“Blackened” is the opening song for “And Justice For All”, the first to feature Jason Nusted on bass after Cliff Burton’s death. Nysted is also involved in writing the music for the song.
Meanwhile, the band’s drummer Lars Ulrich hinted this week that they are likely to expect a new album from Metallica, as the band already has software that they can use when recording together, despite members of the band live in different states of the United States.
“The people creating the software and the entire recording team are trying to figure out how Lars, James, Kirk and Rob can create a Metallica album from four different locations in four different states. That is definitely something, which is why we are very excited, “Ulrich said.
Therefore, “Blackened” may be the first visible soil analysis test of how it works in a quarantine situation.
However, the drummer did not confirm whether that meant the band would certainly record a new album during quarantine. He believes there are a number of factors, but he is open to the idea.
“Will there be a Metallica album recorded during the quarantine? I can’t say because I don’t know how long the quarantine will last, but if you, I and the rest of the world are still here after six months or a year, I can say there is a very good chance [за такъв албум]”says Ulrich.
