We have not received any sign of withdrawal of support from the EPP (European People’s Party). What is being reproduced in the European press are publications paid for directly by Bulgarians. This was stated to BNT by the deputy Toma Bikov of the GERB.
Bikov did not specify which media he was referring to.
“Since I have no proof, I cannot say a specific publication, but a large part of it is requested,” he explained.
“The European media, by the way, also accept money,” Bikov emphasized. “Hey, how many people to order in Bulgaria is not that expensive. I can’t say names.”
The protests against the government in Bulgaria, which have taken place for 72 days, were covered by various world media such as: Die Zeit, Die Welt, SPIEGEL, The Independent, Euroactive, Euronews, The Brussels Times, Politico, The Guardian, The Financial Times, RT and others.
“The protest has exhausted its energy in recent days. This does not mean that there is a calm situation in Bulgaria and that everything is fine. The protest clearly articulates what it wants. From then on, Bulgarian society and various political forces have they took a stand against it and it became one of the first electoral campaigns, “added Bikov.
He explained that the party’s goal is “for Bulgaria to have a guaranteed budget for next year by the end of this year. To have an update of the budget for this year, to have measures for companies and the victims of the crisis to ensure next year, which is absolutely confusing. ”
