The miner’s leadership reacted with an ultra-fast stance sent to Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Sports Minister Krasen Kralev and the Bulgarian Football Union, on the Executive Committee’s decision to schedule a barrage to determine the champion in the Southwestern Third League.
We publish the text without editorial intervention:
“Dear Sirs:
The management of FC Minor strongly rejects the decision announced today by the Executive Committee of the Bulgarian Football Association to maintain a barrier to determine the winner in the South West Third League. Our team is first in the group for 18 rounds until the championship break imposed by the state of emergency in the country. Our leadership in the ranking is due to a great deal of work and has been accomplished solely on the green field.
FC Miner does not determine the size of the Southwestern Third League, the championship schedule, nor is it guilty of disrupting the championship.
We firmly believe that it is not fair in the other third leagues to respect the current classification, but only to designate a barrage in one. Such a match to determine the winner is unprecedented. We are convinced that such a match is against fair play and the rules imposed by the BFU. Miner: Pernik is a team with great traditions. In our 101-year history, we have repeatedly witnessed injustices against the club. We have given a lot of Bulgarian football with talents and legends of Miner and we believe that his team and his followers do not deserve that attitude.
FC Menor insists that the championship be completed in its entirety or, as in the other three zones, be unconditionally suspended and this ranking be considered final. We do not want to risk the health of our players in a pandemic. We don’t want to force them to train at a time when their colleagues from all the other fan clubs are on forced vacations. So far, FC Miner has more responsibly implemented all measures imposed by Parliament and the Government to preserve the health and life of coaches, runners and supporters. We believe that naming a barrage to please someone is, to put it mildly, an irrational fad! “The letter said.
