Elena Dineva remains in custody
The Specialized Court of Appeal set a bond of BGN 1 million for the wife of businessman Vasil Bozhkov, Elena Dineva. Her lawyers said she would not pay even the first 750,000 levs set by the court. Therefore, in practice, Dineva remains in detention.
As an argument to determine the high security, the Special Court noted that he has many properties, including abroad. As an example, the magistrates transferred a property in Paris worth BGN 25 million.
Bozhkov’s wife is released for BGN 750,000.
Earlier, Bozhkov’s wife announced that she would not pay the BGN 750,000 bail. The reason for her decision was that her bank accounts were seized and the licenses of her husband’s businesses were revoked. This was stated by her lawyer Lyudmil Rangelov. According to him, the legal period of 8 months for initial detention expires on October 27. If Dineva is not charged again by then, the prosecutor’s office will have to officially request her release.
