Both teams did not undertake waiting strategies and from the first minute they began to build gradual attacks. The first opportunity was opened to the guests. In the 3rd minute, Zaralii organized a multi-pass attack. Alexander Tsvetkov passed down the right wing, where Gaius Makuta focused hard in the penalty area, after which Aliun Fal shot close, but the ball missed the profile of the door and went wide.
Five minutes later, Dimitar Dimitrov’s students came up with another excellent opportunity to open the scoring. Ivan Minchev shot with the left from far away, which Anthony Stergiakis saved decisively. Ibrahima Conte was the first to reach the ball and hit again, but the Slavia goalkeeper intervened again. Aliun Fall hit the ball in excellent shooting position, but his shot was very imprecise and went wide.
Little by little, the “whites” leveled the game and looked boldly at Hristian Vassilev’s door. In the 14th minute Filip Krastev crossed from a corner kick, but Stara Zagora’s defense managed and killed. In the following minutes, the guests regained control of the ball and organized quick attacks on the home field. The Whites tried to react quickly, but the Greens positioned themselves well in their own field, while at the same time organizing quick counterattacks that put Antonis Stergiakis’ gate in jeopardy. However, the hosts pressed in the middle of the first half.
In the 26th minute, Radoslav Kirilov entered the penalty area and shot into the far corner, but the ball bounced off Georgi Angelov’s head and went off a corner kick.
