Belgium will introduce a mandatory 7-day quarantine for those arriving from Bulgaria from tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, Belgium will introduce a mandatory 7-day PCR and quarantine test for all citizens arriving in the country from the so-called red zone, which includes Bulgaria. Passengers who enter the country from territories declared a red zone and have remained in them for more than 48 hours must be examined on the first day of entry, as well as on the seventh day, our Foreign Ministry said.

In the event of a negative PCR test performed on the seventh day of the quarantine, it is terminated, and if the result is positive, citizens must isolate themselves for at least another 7 days.

An exception to the mandatory quarantine will be made for citizens staying in Belgium for less than 48 hours. In addition, if the stay of a passenger subject to quarantine lasts less than the 7-day quarantine period, they will be able to leave the country before the quarantine expires.
