CSKA coach Stamen Belchev was more than happy after his team’s victory after a full lap against Basel in Switzerland (3: 1). Belchev highlighted his team’s play throughout the match and did not want to increase the team’s reserves, which eventually sent the Bulgarians to the Europa League groups.

“This is my biggest and most important success in my coaching career. I congratulate the guys for believing that we can win and move on. Congratulations to all CSKA fans,” Belchev began.
“The most important thing was discipline. We had to show organization. We were very aware of the opponent and we countered their strengths well and took advantage of their weaknesses and our strengths. Everyone won the team’s match. Both Tiago and Ahmed scored, but the whole team helped. The players must always be prepared. We start with 11 people, but when the substitute team has a chance, they have to do it. The options I have from the bench are under attack. I have no defense for one reason or another. I’m glad I do. “We succeeded. Basel are a solid team and we knew it would be very difficult. The important thing is that Tiago brought us back to the game and that goal gave us strength to believe. I don’t want to comment on transfers. Let’s enjoy the victory.”
“The opponents in the dressing room don’t matter. Everybody wants to play for famous teams. The atmosphere in the dressing room is good,” concluded Belchev.
