In 2013, with his poem “Purulent Cry” he won the student creative festival “Little Poetics” in the category “Literature”.
Stefan Kichev was also awarded in the Sofia Municipality’s “Civil Awakener” contest, where he received an award for his letter of correspondence to dissident, writer and journalist Georgi Markov.

Kichev had a long relationship with a lady named Laura. According to his friends, it was the failures in his personal life that caused the sensitive young man to take the step towards death, the publication writes.
