Aston Villa recorded their most resounding victory in the new century, defeating English champion Liverpool with a devastating 7-2 at Villa Park. This feeling comes only hours later Tottenham Hotspur mocked Manchester United at Old Trafford with 6: 1.
This is the second case in the history of the English elite, when the “Merseysiders” collected such a number of blows, after Tottenham achieved the same result in 1963.
