Associate Professor Mangarov, with a new rebuttal of the masks, again claims that they are not necessary

Assistant Professor Atanas Mangarov, head of the children’s ward at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Sofia, again spoke out against the masks. He posted on Facebook a video from 2014, when in another flu illness no one said that masks protect.

Assoc. Prof. Mangarov responded to criticism from BMA president Dr. Ivan Madjarov, who accused him of conflicting messages:

Sometimes the opinion of the same expert is contradicted in a few months, a doctor said in March-April that we need to do the test en masse, and a few days ago he said that PCRs are “a waste of money”. The name of this associate professor is Atanas Mangarov. This is not an insult, but his words. It is in their conscience that a large part of society is confused, ”Dr. Madjarov said yesterday on bTV’s morning block.

With hand washing and distance we protect ourselves, with a mask inside, the rest, said Dr. Ivan Madjarov.

Here’s what Associate Professor Mangarov wrote on Facebook:

JANUARY 2014!
NOT A WORD ABOUT MASKS; THE CASES – PER 10,000 POPULATION
.

… the most important thing during an epidemic is to observe good personal hygiene, avoid public places where there are many people, and not get sick at work and school.
