Starting today, the minimum pension will be BGN 300 and the cap is raised to BGN 1440. Pensioners will receive the new amounts from January 7 to 20, the date on which the pensions will be paid. Everyone will receive a bonus of BGN 50. Supplements will be paid in February and March.

Starting today, half of the retirees, or around 1 million people, will receive a minimum pension of BGN 300. Of these, almost 770,000 retirees will receive a 20 percent increase in their pensions. The increase in the minimum pension for seniority and seniority will affect another 230 thousand pensioners, who by 2020 will receive more than the minimum amount of the respective rate. The increase in the ceiling to 1,440 BGN will affect 52,000 people, and about 25,000 of them are expected to start receiving the actual amount of their pension.

Starting January 1, women in the third most popular job category will retire at the age of 61 years and 8 months. For men, the increase is one month and becomes 64 years and 4 months.

To retire, women must already have 36 years of insurance experience. For men, it turns 39. For both genders, this is two months more than last year.

If people are not entitled to a pension because they do not meet the specified age and seniority conditions, they can retire at the age of 66 years and 8 months with at least 15 years of actual seniority.

The price of purchasing a short-term pension for early 2021 rises by 7.92 BGN and 128.70 BGN is paid for each month of short-term service. The reason is that as of January 1, the minimum insurance income for the self-insured is BGN 650. The price of the internship that can be purchased is 19.8% of this amount. One year of experience will cost BGN 1,544.40 and 5 full years, BGN 7,722.

Pensions of up to BGN 650 will not be seized as of January 1.

Starting today, all people who have missed the 5-year deadline to transfer their money from the second pillar can do so until June 30. This term also applies to people who have already been granted a pension without being able to change insurance. Thus, in the next six months they will be able to request their recalculation if they transfer the money from the second fund to the NSSI.

In April, around 392 thousand people with pensions between BGN 300.01 and BGN 369 will receive BGN 120 for food. To this end, the government has provided BGN 47.4 million.

In July, all other pensions will increase by 5%. Therefore, the average will reach BGN 489.
