Relatives of the missing Antonia, whose remains were allegedly found on October 3 in the Radomir region, say they last saw her on the day of her disappearance: Saint Ivan’s Day. She then told them that she was going to Radomir for a few days to Lubomir, the man she had been in a relationship with for about 4 years.

Their relationship was tumultuous. According to the mother of the 30-year-old woman, drugs were sometimes used, often leading to assaults. “She had a scar on her forehead and she told my daughter-in-law that it was from Lubo and that if it hadn’t been for her mother, it would have been much worse,” Antonia’s mother, Nelly Stoyneva, told Nova TV.

He added that a restraining order was also requested. A week later, however, they called Antonia and she realized that this meant never seeing Lubo again and she disagreed. 4 days after his disappearance, Lubo went abroad.

Police say he was first in Germany, Austria and now in Italy. Since then until today, the family of the disappeared has not been able to contact him. Antonia’s mother tried to understand more than Lubomir’s father. She called him, he said he didn’t know anything, and in the last few months he stopped taking her calls. Now investigators don’t say how they got to the rubble. But one of the assumptions is that it was Lubomir’s father who brought them to the place.

“I can’t say anything. There is an ongoing investigation,” he said. So far, no one has been charged or detained for Antonia’s disappearance. The identity of the woman, whose body was found earlier this month, has yet to be established. In addition to the remains, a suitcase with hair was also found.

“The skull of a woman, the jaw and a suitcase with hair were found. As a female person has been searched since January, it is speculated that the remains belong to that person. They were handed over for DNA analysis,” said Pernik’s spokeswoman , Albena Stoilova. Prosecutors say a kidnapping case has been filed. If the DNA test is confirmed, the work will continue for murder.
