At today’s meeting, the Executive Bureau of the Bulgarian Football Union adopted a proposal for changes to the Ordinance on championships and tournaments 2021/2022. Among the most significant adjustments are the reduction of the total number of registered players without training requirement from 25 to 20; As for card players from non-EU countries in the PPL, instead of the current restrictions on the participation of three similar players in football matches, starting next season the five players from non-EU countries belonging to the EU may participate simultaneously.

PPL clubs may present an unlimited number of players born after January 1, 2000 with at least two consecutive seasons contested since their 16-year stint at the soccer club.

In case of participation of such players for not less than 45 minutes in a PPL match, BFU pays the respective club an amount of BGN 250 per person for up to two players in the match.
