Andrey Novakov is a Bulgarian politician of the GERB party and MEP of the European People’s Group on the European resolution, in the Panorama program.
According to him, this reveals inferiority and a lack of national self-confidence.
This started as an attack on the government, but turned into an attack on the entire country. We have never hidden that there are problems, I do not believe that this resolution will solve any problem, said the MEP.
He said that what was most interesting was the political mechanics: “one from the left and one from the right got together to do something like that.
“I explain it with the desire to shine, in prime time in the European Parliament. The BSP has not learned to distinguish between national interests and parties.”
We are not the black sheep and we must stop presenting ourselves as such, Novakov said.
According to him, the resolution will have political consequences.
A difficult winter is coming and leaving institutions inactive will be irresponsible, as would be the case with an interim government, he said.
