Loosen the measurements at the earliest one week after the holidays. This was suggested by the health authorities of our country. The Bulgarian Medical Union is also firmly opposed to relaxing the regime after December 21, as the government was considering.
“There are still a lot of patients and the number of patients in intensive care units is not decreasing either,” the president of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Dr. Ivan Madjarov, said in a briefing.
Prof. Angelov: Antigen tests will be free once they are matched to PCR
“Not as administrator of the Fund, but as a professor of medicine, I support what the minister proposes: to extend the measures at least one week after the New Year holidays,” added the manager of the National Health Insurance Fund, Prof. Petko Salchev.

To control the situation, antigen tests will be matched to PCR and serve as a quarantine. They are expected to be free. This will happen by order of the Minister of Health at the end of the week.
“The antigen tests that we buy and distribute in all parts of the country will be absolutely free for Bulgarian citizens and depending on the results, if the experts give their recommendations, they will be grounds for imposing the isolation and quarantine of their contacts. As a doctor, I think this will give a pretty good picture of the situation, “said Health Minister Prof. Kostadin Angelov.
The government will actively work with the Medical Union to ensure that information about vaccines reaches patients as quickly as possible and to persuade as many people as possible to get vaccinated. For better coordination, a representative from the BMA will join the work of the National Operations Headquarters.
“We continue to work in conjunction with the NHIF and the Ministry of Health. Until the end of the year we will continue the talks and sign the annex. It was decided as of November 1 (retroactively) that health professionals who are in employment with doctors family members will receive 360 BGN. The other medical workers will also receive their allowances next year, “said Dr. Madkharov.
Prof. Angelov: I will insist that the measures remain the same after December 21
“All the forecasts are not valid. This has already been proven by the pandemic, and it has become clear to us that we must keep up. If we had not kept up the pace that we are seeing now, the quality of medical care would inevitably have fallen further. . We suffer from the fact that we can practically not admit more people to the hospitals. If we continue like this, we will get to those incidents that have been talked about before. Let’s grit our teeth and spend the holidays in a close family circle, “he also called Dr. Madjarov.
