56 cars were searched last night by the Sofia police in Vitosha. Several people were fined and had their driver’s licenses confiscated.

As BLIC first reported, On New Year’s Eve, many residents of Sofia decided to storm the mountain to see the festive illuminations from above. However, some of them had a terrible nightmare because getting around was literally a mission impossible and the police were searching.

Inspections revealed that there were no drivers who had consumed alcohol. At the same time, the driver’s licenses of three people were confiscated for non-payment of fines.

The inspections began after a signal for a gathering of people in Vitosha in the “Kopitoto” area who wanted to see the Christmas fireworks. The teams from the Ministry of the Interior to control traffic in the region have been sent to the scene, reports BNR.
