An old man died in a car accident in Velingrad. Yesterday, around 2:20 p.m., a report of the incident was presented at the police station of the tourist town. Police, fire brigade and ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the police found that P.Sh. de Velingrad has lost control of a Citroen car. The vehicle entered the opposite lane and crashed head-on into a power pole.
An ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital, but he died shortly after. The body was taken for an autopsy to the forensic ward of Pazardzhik Hospital for an autopsy.
An inspection was carried out on the spot, the reasons that led to the traffic accident and the death of the driver were clarified. Pre-trial proceedings have started in the case.
