An infected woman went to the post office and when she finished her job she yelled, “I have a crown, sanitize everything!”

One of the Zagreb post offices had to be closed today as soon as a citizen infected with a coronavirus “entered” it.

A branch in the Croatian capital was closed after a woman who tested positive for coronavirus entered in the afternoon, epidemiologists said, adding that the woman was isolated.

The woman came with an envelope containing medical records and, after completing what she needed, informed attendees that she was infected with Covid-19.

“Around 9:15 this morning, a woman infected with coronavirus, who was supposed to be isolated, came to the post office, did her job, and then told everyone that they had tested positive for the virus and needed to disinfect the mail.

Then we close the mail, we wait for an epidemiologist to come, we register everyone inside and we follow the rules, “said Valentino Rajkovic, head of Civil Defense in New Zagreb.

“When we disinfect the mail, epidemiologists will see what they will do with the people who were inside at the time, whether they try it or not,” Rajkovic added.

Croatian Post officials said the branch was closed for preventive reasons and that authorities were notified.

“So all measures have been taken to prevent the safety of our employees and citizens,” management told the media.
